I'm deleting this journal.

I will now be posting my icons in a community I share with Robyn, erasingyou. So go friend that if you still want to keep up with my icon updates.

I just want to give the BIGGEST thank you in the world to those of you who have stuck by me and this icon journal for all the three years I've had it. It means alot to me that over 500 people enjoyed my graphics and stayed with me the whole time. So thank you again and I'll see ya guys around. :)

Ashlee Simpson mood theme

Okay. First of - wowsugarpuss_, _sitdown and mesmerize I owe you guys an icon a piece so please email me (losinghope@gmail.com) SPECIFIC icon requests.

Now I finished this in two days. I'm quite proud of myself I think I did a pretty good job finding pictures to match the moods, etc etc. Anyway.. This is my first attempt to ever make a public mood theme. I just figured out (all by myself!!) how to zip files and so hopefully this all works out well. If you decide to use this mood theme PLEASE CREDIT ME, lovenote, IN YOUR USER INFO.

[hover over the image to see the corresponding mood]

right-click & save as

1. Go to the command console.

2. You have to create the mood theme by typing in:
moodtheme_create "Ashlee" "Ashlee Mood Theme"

3. If you're successful, you will be given a green number. DON'T LOSE THE NUMBER!

4. Next, open the text document titled "codes" in the zipped file. Replace every ##### with the green number you were given. Press Ctrl+H, type what you want changed, and then hit Replace all.

5. Now you need to upload the images in the zip file to your own space. Photobucket is wonderful!

6. Go to the text document again and this time replace yoursite with the url of your images. Again, use Ctrl+H.

7. Once you're done, click select all, and then copy.

8. Paste the entire thing into the command console, hit execute and you should be ready to go.

9. You can now go to http://www.livejournal.com/modify.bml and select "Ashlee" mood theme from the list.

FOR ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 7.0 USERS

Step 01: Opened up this picture of Carmen Electra. Selected the Rectangular Marquee Tool. Set it on Fixed Aspect Ratio width: 1, height: 1. and then selected a good portion of her face for the icon.

Step 02: After selected a good portion of her face, I went up to Image > Crop and then Image > Image Size. Put 100 where the width is and it automatically put 100 where the height is. Giving you a 100x100 base.

Step 03. Pressed okay. Now I duplicated the layer and went to Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen on the top layer and merged layers.

Step 04: Duplicated it again.

Step 05: Created a new layer about the the two layers.

Step 06: Filled the layer with #001755 and set it to exclusion.

Step 07: I created a new layer and pasted this texture and set it on Screen. It looks a little funky, I know, but that's okay.

Step 08: Duplicate the original picture of Carmen and drag it all the way on top of the texture layer.

Step 09: With the Carmen picture selected (make sure it's on the top of all the layers) go to Image > Adjustments > Desaturate and set it to Soft Light.

- Your layers should now look like this

Step 10: Create a new layer and flood fill it with #001755 and set it to Lighten.

Step 11: Duplicate the original layer of Carmen again and set it to Soft Light above the layer you just filled with the brown color.
- Your layers should now look like this

Step 12: I created a new layer and added this gradient and set it to Color Burn

Step 13: Created yet another new layer and added a small text brush on it.

Step 14: I noticed it still looked a bit "too texture-y" so I selected the Eraser and selected a blurry round brush size 65 and lower the opacity at 20% and erased a bit around her face.

Ta-da!

Now, I'm aware that you may not understand some of what I said, so feel free to ask questions!
